For a year, the team has kept busy – the project proves to be successful. Besides attending Swiss American relatives from Louisville, among them Vicky and Bob Ullrich who were on a European tour, also numerous people from the monastery village Einsiedeln could be welcomed. Franz Pirker, president of Einsiedeln's Cultural Commission and newly elected mayor of the district welcomed the numerous guests and thanked the project team.
He mentioned that due to "Einsiedeln elsewhere" the rebuilding of bridges to descendants of Einsiedeln people in Louisville had begun – a bridge that not in the least due the great distance had partially been lost. More than 3000 Einsiedeln women and men had emigrated, a good number to overseas, among them many to Louisville in Kentucky.
